There are multiple parameters and conditions that affect the upload limit: https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/latest/admin_manual/configuration_files/big_file_upload_configuration.html The optimal configuration is highly dependent on your use case.

Thanks for the pointer. I was looking for the reason of the change. Setting it to unlimited for everyone like in #2043 might be an unexpected (and potentially dangerous) default....
