Opened up PR https://github.com/capacitor-community/capacitor-googlemaps-native/pull/81 that creates this functionality via a viewBounds() function.

Watching this issue as we do seem to get inconsistent results between IOS and Android and are unable to correctly capture an image due to the different sizes.

We're running into this as well, both from trying to componentize creating IonTabButtons (like above example), and also when trying to implement feature flags to conditionally show IonTabButton elements
