Wrye Bash update checking is already implemented on nightly, see #663. I don't think Nexus would like us bypassing their API very much. They created and are rate limiting it...

xdg-open is what we do as a fallback if it's not an executable. That won't work properly with proton though, unless we pass the right WINEPREFIX, which sounds like tons...
Fixing the tiny path field should just need an `item_expand=True` thrown in. Looks like a `VLayout` containing an `HLayout`, so try adding an `item_expand=True` to the `HLayout`.
Maybe we should add the entirety of `interface` as an exclusion then, same with `textures`? We can use `no_skip_regexes` for that since they may be arbitrarily nested.
