OOM for large fasta ?

I was testing the tool with my personal FASTQ files (25G) on 16G RAM device, and the program keeps being killed by kernel due to out-of-memory error.

  • Is this expected? or is this because of not supporting FASTQ?
  • What are the expected specs to run the tool?
