Yes please, backup would be a safer way forward in case of issues with an unproven device.
See two events shown in image. It works fine wuth a start and end TIME. Bur ALLDAY events spanning more than one day just shows start date.

Documentation is all over the place. For example in HACS the information uses 'var:' in github the readme.md uses 'variable:' The incorrect/out-of-date information needs deleting to remove confusion or worse.
