I am using GridLayoutManager with span count 2, the first view has a really huge size. rest of the views are fine 

I checked the codes and could not find the code to add custom animations when the menu appears

Currently I'm using animate();, if it gets a native show/hide option to be used along with the recycler view scroll behavior it might work more efficiently
