For me, while running system server on macos 10.13.2, keyboard does not work too on login screen. So system server is actually unusable in my case.
Another crash happened, possibly a different problem, not sure whether to open a different issue or not. Attaching crash report. Crash happened within several seconds after connecting with VNC client....
