Ingress NGINX Controller v1.9.4 is no longer supported. Please update to a more recent Controller version and try again. I remember some changes to CORS in the newer releases.
None of the versions you're using are supported anymore. Nevertheless, snippet annotations have been disabled by default in v1.9.0, so you will need to re-enable them in your configuration.
In v1.12 you also need to set the annotations risk level to Critical as this got reduced to High and therefore does not allow snippet annotations.
I understand your concern. Could you please elaborate on what's wrong with the executable flag here? I understand it's not required, but in which way is it a bug?
