Based on statcounter, usage stats for _all_ IE versions is at 0.28% . but in caniuse, usage stats only for IE11 stands at 0.47%. 
The support (or more appropriately the complete lack thereof) for this feature is incredibly confusing with misinformation and bad examples all over the place. It would go a long way...
