+1, at a minimum supporting offsets to be able to right-label buckets is an essential feature for many use cases including mine.

Are there any plans to implement these features or should we assume that they will not be landing anytime soon?

I also ran into this, funnily enough also when trying to reach api.telegram.org. Can confirm that building with -DWOLFSSL_NO_ASN_STRICT added to my cflags fixed it.
