Add particles of wings when you fly. Eg, Fire Wings have a fire particle, slime wings have the particle slimes have when they jump, etc.
Make it so you can buff wings even further by surrounding them in a crafting table with the main ingredient, eg, for Fire wings its blaze powder, for Dragon wings...
