How do you switch to software mode on a new Nintendo 3DS?
what if you take a look at thirdtube's code?
 I got here after installing the latest version of ffmpefg by running `sudo apt-add-repository ppa:savoury1/ffmpeg5` and pressing [Enter] when prompted, then re-installing SteamVR....
I also have chromium installed, but hidden because I never use it outside of this usecase.
also, this was launched from the latest nightly *.Appimage file.
AWNSER: I got it working!!!! here are the steps I did to get it working: 1) install Chromium 2) Install ffmpeg 3) Install SteamVR from Steam and run it once...

I think there was a fix for audio at one point, but I think it's Arch exclusive.
