Yeah, we would like to have something like `maxUserZoom` instead of the current `maxZoomFactor`.

Should be fixed in Compose `1.7.0-beta01` (probably in the next preview).

You misunderstood #563 which didn't disable decoding. Instead, it fixed the issue that prefetched (recyclerview will do it automatically) images were not decoded. And #696 is completely different.

There's no evidence that exhentai will ban users permanently based on their IP. We have no plans to support proxies.
