ExHentai bans account logins from Asian locations; thus, I needed a VPN to use this viewer. But sometimes I accidentally open this app and get shadow-banned. So I want a proxy setting in the app to prevent this from happening. I searched for this feature and found https://github.com/FooIbar/EhViewer/issues/201#issuecomment-1797820235, which says no one uses the proxy feature, so it was removed. But if adding this feature is not complicated, please consider adding it again. If you are positive to adding this feature back and this feature is simple enough, I will create small pr for this feature.

But sometimes I accidentally open this app and get shadow-banned.
You can clear the igneous cookie in account settings to get a new one.
So I want a proxy setting in the app to prevent this from happening.
How's a proxy setting gonna solve that? I guess if you open the app without the proxy turned on, it will fail to connect? That sounds kind of niche.
Sometimes shadow bans block access to exhentai for that account permanently. Also I think if a proxy is set and the app always uses that proxy to communicate with the server, then the device's original IP address will not be revealed. But yeah, I agree this is kind of a niche feature.

There's no evidence that exhentai will ban users permanently based on their IP. We have no plans to support proxies.
