This is still an issue for me with server version 10.7.7 and app version 2.4.4. Are there any work being done to improve this?

@Avasz it's not possible to delete photos from within Photoview. You have to delete them from the filesystem and then do a rescan of the folder in Photoview.
Same error for me on the currently latest version 1.11.0. Edit: Doesn't really seem to matter for the Kobo sync to actually work?
