It's something weird with custom mod sounds, that I know. There's probably a way to fix it by changing how the sounds are registered?

That's not what he means. Can't a multiplier be added to the conversion ratio?

I wouldn't say it's useless, but yeah, perhaps changes should be made.

Misc ideas: Pneumatic tubes, perhaps use capsules to encase items and/or liquids, steam shoots them around. Likely difficult to implement into current pipes due to the way that pressure works,...

@Divineaspect I was hoping they would function in existing steam pipes though that may be difficult. Valve pipes etc would be that much more useful - just pressurize one end...

That could work, yeah. How do we determine the direction of steam flow in a system, however? That's going to be difficult.

Should it heat crucibles for free as long as steam is in the system?

...why? The crucible doesn't use power normally. 20 steam/tick isn't worth it when you can plop down lava and achieve it for free.
