HLS m3u8 seems to work fine. [Here is a POC](https://fireti.me/cast/?s=https://live.retrostrange.com) with an public owncast stream.
The issue is the core Bluetooth library needs to be updated to be compatible with python 3.10. Relevant python docs [here](https://docs.python.org/3/c-api/arg.html#strings-and-buffers).
Still not working.
