Currently @ktiedt is doing work to remove Prototypejs #1216 and to convert to ES6 in the process. You should have made a PR for that progress yourself long time ago...

Alright, out of brainstorm as we went with Jest framework. Issue will be closed once we have some unit ability tests in.
