I disabled the account in settings but are still receiving push notifications. Chatsecure still crashes after 20s... After restarting the app, it stayed alive.

Issue seems to persists. In my observed case, Chatsecure crashed after opening the notification (was "new message!" without actual message content), after restart the message was not there. Other clients...

This issue is relevant again, now that share to siskin has improved
