This is likely because someone distributed a modified version of this app, including malware. This app is not ransomeware because it doesn't even have access to your files.

Could you further describe what malwarebytes told you, please?

I don't think I can do something about this. It also says it's "potential ransomware" so I guess it's some permission which triggers this.

The GitHub release is the same version as on F-Droid and the Play Store.

Sounds like a nice idea. This should be possible with the [REST API](https://www.openhab.org/docs/configuration/restdocs.html). Can you provide an example configuration so I can set up a VM for testing?
