Integration with standard download like in v3.0.8?

Is there a way to get the current DTA in Chrome to be integrated with the standard download dialog like it used to be in Firefox with the old version...

Is there any technical reason why support could not be extended back to Windows 7? Obviously I understand W7 has been ended and therefore it's not arguably reasonable to expect...
