So I let the Pixel sleep a minute and the touchscreen worked fine for a couple seconds before dying on me and needing a reset.
I looked through the new changes in the repo and found I was missing an added `Type=idle` in the `atmel.service` file. After adding it, the touchscreen seems to work fine...
