NAT it not a problem. Other peers cannot connect to you but you still can connect to peers
Currently easy pause-resume of downloading is not supported. You can only create new client instance

i didn't find something about empty files in torrent protocol documentation. Also Qbittorrent client hangs with empty torrent file too. Looks like i can add check for this case and...
The library uses these ports that you're mentioned. I don't know why the download can be stuck. Maybe some logs may be helpful.

What do you mean under by multi-announce? Could you give a link on specification?
