Lost work

Open Papacci20 opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Trying any sort of sorting brings you nowhere.

I tried to sort a video that took a very long time to process just to see that the work did not get saved anywhere.

I then tried the same with the default video provided with the software which also lead to the video not being saved anywhere.

I then tried to pixel sort a default image available with the software, pressed on "Save image" just to see that it wasn't being saved anywhere, just like the two videos.

Only extra thing to say about it is that after processing the bigger video (the first one) the program shut down on its own and then I realised nothing was being saved.

I did not make further testing after restarting the machine but I'll try tomorrow and post more about it.

Hey sorry that has happened to you, I understand that is frustrating. I assume you are talking about this build? https://github.com/DavidMcLaughlin208/PixelSorting/releases/tag/v0.1.2

Unfortunately, I will not have access to a Windows PC for the next few months and will be unable to look into this. Although, I do recall using v0.1.2 without any issues so I am unsure why this may be happening in your situation.

If you are still facing this issue then I am guessing v0.1.1 would still work.

If you can afford a paid option I would highly recommend MadPixelSort as it can do everything PixelSortium does plus so much more. https://www.madpixelsort.com/

Since you mentioned that you had a new pc I will mention that this application is untested on Windows 11 and I only know that it works on Windows 10.

The Issue is regarding the 0.1.2 Windows version and it was encountered on Windows 10.

While I do own a copy of MadPixelSort, I still wanted to test the new version of your Software and felt like this was quite an important Issue to report.
