We are seeing something similar, but it only breaks "sometimes". Not yet sure why.

I have the same opinion like @wjordan. localstorage takes longer and probably blocks rendering as the JavaScript engine stops and does all the heavy lifting to base64 decode the files....
I have already provided PRs for almost all projects from https://github.com/cli-table/cli-table3/issues/17 It is up to the users to migrate and accepts our PRs.
