Update: This issue was fixed but another issue was introduced that broke the proxy connection - https://github.com/vmware/pyvmomi/pull/1095 https://github.com/vmware/pyvmomi/commit/0a0d5e16489a8150876414015aaa795786168b33 fixes that. This should be fixed now.
