This is odd, since Toot does not do any hyperlinking, but just uses the HTML markup sent by the backend. Do you have an example where the linking differs?
Hmm. This would be useful, but that information requires one network request to the server for each person shown. Not sure if it's a bit harsh on the server to...

That seems awfully overcomplicated. It seems to make more sense this way. If you tend to accidentally click one, you probably also accidentally click the other?
Not sure about this, it is quite non-standard behaviour and kind of unexpected.
None of them have UIs that are very good at fitting in on iOS, though. They all feel a bit off. So I am not too keen to take cues...

This is a bit UI-design-heavy so not a huge priority at the moment, but it would probably be useful.
Just switching apps or answering calls should not close the app and lose the toot. That is a bit odd. Are your phones very memory restrained or something?
It would be good to have, but it is a high-effort, low-impact feature, so it is quite low priority for now.
