I found no open or closed similar topic.

The Mastodon WebUI shows multiple currently popular hashtags. I'm missing those in the app to see what my community is talking about. Would love seeing them included in the app.

Not sure where in the UI these would fit.

Maybe in the Dropdown-Menu of your local timeline or in the menu you also find the direct messages, settings etc.? But you're right, I also struggle to find a decent place for them.
