To have clarity of who is at what stage during the race, a simple live leaderboard would help avoid confusion during a race.

Some way of recording the race and lap times would really help up the competetive spirit in the game. To have some sort of central hub registering all time records...

The possibility of having a custom number of checkpoints on a map in race mode. Perhaps it's also worth considering for .59 to support for levels to have custom checkpoints...

There should be a countdown at the start of a race. Right now it just starts whenever someone's ready (unless the "wait for all players" is checked.)
