Have you tried installing it in [safe mode](https://flight-manual.atom.io/faq/sections/what-does-safe-mode-do/) as well? Does that also hang?

Try reinstalling. It seems something went wrong during the installation.

Looks to me like your download went wrong; try removing the package and apm's cache, then try installing pigments again

Just for reference: could you add your Atom and Pigments versions, and your OS? Not sure if they are relevant but maybe it helps debugging
