Hell yeah! I just flashed 0.9.9 and can confirm, it fixes that issue. ELKS does not report a single re-read error. As a bonus, I noticed a speedup in floppy...

Do all vdr plugins need this? ``` DEPEND="media-video/vdr" RDEPEND="${DEPEND}" BDEPEND="${DEPEND}" ``` I do wonder, if in this case, this should not be automatically added by the ```vdr-plugin-2``` eclass?
GCC should be currently fine. But it's still something, which should be fixed, as Clang is getting more and more popular and more widly used by linux distributions.

@stvoidit And you tested with ```-Werror=odr```? It this fails, this means, LTO is unsafe.
