I have tried your experimental avconv libav nut branch and successfully compiled it. But the problem with nut still persists. machine kills process due to "oom-killer" as memory is exhausted...

There is no problem at all with bmdcapture unless you are using "nut" as mentioned before. You can use avi or asf and test this but with avi you can...

After this change IOS seems to work properly but no audio is heard.

I have 1P breaker which is similar and will test it - is there any way to debug the communication maybe i can assist to patch it for this device...
