This is still a problem with 7.3.2 With autofs is is a bit tolerable as it is a delay of say 10-20 seconds if you are using systemd auto-mounts it...

I don't quite think that is all the answer. The mount points don't exist in /etc/mtab when they are disconnected. This is the situation that causes the hang when starting...
