I also agree with having the Drum of the Wild break sugar cane; it's a good alternative. It's unfortunate that the sugar cane challenge cannot currently be completed as intended.

Yikes, the issue is happening every time I start up Minecraft, and I need to reload the server every time to fix this. I'll have to downgrade REI for now.
