login via orcid not shown as option when confirming a new email address

I was logged in to osf.io via orcid. I edited by account to add a new email address which sent me a link to that address. I cut and pasted the URL into the same browser session and it logged me out and took me to a login session which didn't include the orcid login option.

My solution was to open another tab, navigate to the normal login, login and then switch back to the tab without the orcid login option, which picke dup that I was now logged in.

Thanks for letting us know and 👍 for the details.

The confirmation process does log any current session out first before logging the user in again. However, the process should be automatic. My guess is that a glitch might have happened during the confirmation process and you ended up in a middle state where the orcid option is not ready. We are looking into this issue now and will keep you informed.
