[Feature Request]: Connect to Zenodo for data storage

Open i2000s opened this issue 9 years ago • 2 comments

Hi,

I think it would be nice to let OSF projects be connected to zenodo--a free data storage service for scholars. CERN's LHC data is streaming on their server and has a good ceiling (50GB) for a single file. I would like to see OSF taking advantage of the Zenodo service for users.

Thanks! Qi

Hi Qi, Did you ever get a response to this? I've been searching for information on this, but cannot find anything. Do you know if this is now possible? Thanks! Martin

I'd like to second this feature request. There seems to be many data storage options, but Zenodo would be a great addition. As I see it, the only other good candidate is figshare, whose parent company is Holtzbrinck Publishing Group (owner of Springer Nature) - and I really try relying on open source, non-profit organisations like Zenodo (run by CERN) instead. In keeping with the Open Science name, I really hope you'll consider a solution that puts openness over profit. :-)
