Thanks for your bug report! I can reproduce the issue here as well. I think we didn't fully consider all scenarios in #1617, and we need to reevaluate the design...

In theory I guess. But I'm unsure if there is a value to do so. The use cases for WebTransport don't seem to apply to websockify?

We'd like the documentation in place before we merge this. So please see if you could have a look at writing a draft for that.

I'd say those are the same thing. The protocol information should include both how things are encoded, and the semantics around how it should be used.
