Thanks for the very detailed suggestion. @nicolo-ribaudo by storing the window in global state you mean we're not going to create a new window but to rewrite the existing window...

I see this issue's been going on for a little over a month now, can I still make a PR from this ?

I don't think it's enough after testing it myself. Any input would be helpful.
