I have also made few [changes](https://github.com/sjvasquez/handwriting-synthesis/pull/14/commits/47f89b83f265ea552ef2c5017e94920274229d41) which allow the code to be compatible with current version of tensorflow. Please let me know what you think and if I should proceed...
