(Relative) path and lots of additional path/acc file verbosity now in the server log, maybe give that a try. Access to tomenet.acc should be completely and verbosely guarded now.

Are you on BSD? Please edit tomenet/src/config.h and comment out the line (116 in my current version of the file): \# define USE_GETCH and see if it works then.

Hmmm. Audio is handled by SDL 2. Which sound effects were 48kHz though? I should probably just resample those to 44.1kHz.

Does this problem still persist with latest github code or is it fine?

The server no longer requires X11 to build in any way. Closing.
