I had the same issue, you have to specify java 11. Install "less" from npm and follow the build docs: https://phoenicisorg.github.io/phoenicis/Developers/build/

+1 Also for Gamescope, I would recommend adding a drop-down menu or something like shown in this picture. (heroic games launcher got this implemented for FSR sharpening level as well)
