Jekyll paginate only paginates posts whereas Octopress paginates collections. That's the biggest benefit I think.

Thanks for the feedback! Personally I don't use tags which is why I haven't used them here. They could certainly be used as some sort of fallback though.

The module doesn't actually disable comments. It only disables comment urls. The idea being that it will be less appealing to spammers, and if someone does submit a comment author...
