Event not displaying correctly at all

Ok, I got an event and it starts... let's say on jan/28 and it ends on feb/3 then what I got displayed was a partial event from jan/28 to jan/31...

What if I want to narrow the options within the select?

Let's an author can only select the post that belongs to he/she. How could this be done?

It would be very very usefull when managing a bunch of options!
