@SimonBrandner This issue is about new messages, element-hq/element-web#14323 is about old messages.

I just encountered this problem and would seriously like to have a button for such folder movements, some folders are big and simply resyncing would take days, if not weeks...

For a while I thought it was just "unverified recipient" but it wasn't. I don't think replies should color the entire message red, especially not in one-on-one chats.

I doubt it can cause breakage because it would practically just be less strict/fragile after any changes. Anything non-ASCII is already not passing through, anything ASCII would remain the same....
