I found 1 similar issue that might be helpful:

  • [https://github.com/Arize-ai/phoenix/issues/2684] [BUG] unknown project graphql error. The suggested solution is to clear the browser cache, which may resolve the error you are experiencing.

Is there a retention limit on traces in Phoenix? I just noticed that my projects no longer have any traces except for my most recent project.

Currently there is no policy in place. Could you try changing the time range on the upper right hand corner?

This error happens when accessing a URL for which the project no longer exists (which most likely was deleted).

Hi, @CakeCrusher. I'm Dosu (https://dosu.dev), and I'm helping the Arize Phoenix team manage their backlog and am marking this issue as stale.

Issue Summary:

  • You encountered an "Unknown project" error in a GraphQL query when accessing your Phoenix project.
  • The error was identified as occurring because the project no longer exists (likely deleted).
  • Clearing the browser cache was suggested as a potential fix to resolve stale references.
  • You asked about trace retention limits; I clarified that no retention policy exists, and adjusting the time range filter is recommended.
  • The issue has been resolved with these explanations and suggestions.

Next Steps:

  • Please confirm if this issue is still relevant with the latest version of Arize Phoenix by commenting here.
  • If no further updates are provided, this issue will be automatically closed in 7 days.

Thank you for your understanding and contribution!
