Not working from API 26 (Android 8.0) and higher APIs (27 and 28)

I can confirm it works just fine on all 3 API levels mentioned.

Cannot deploy using Forms 4.0, GetIconDrawable is obsolete as of 4.0.0

Is the workaround in the meantime to revert to a pre 4.0 Forms version? Many thanks **LATER EDIT:** The answer is Yes. Downgrading Forms to 3.6.x allows a succesful build....
