Happens to me as well, but on a mac pro, not a macbook like the one in #8278 and OP. Shortly after starting, the screen will freeze* and two minutes...

The "macos users" link on the [download page](https://osu.ppy.sh/home/download) still [links here](https://osuosx.tumblr.com/). You probably want to change that.
