Don't moderators usually tell them before banning them?
I don't want to reveal IP addresses to moderators. How could unban work in that case?
This is currently the case. Although, to unban, an IP is needed since bans are per-IP.
That's a good system. Banned people should be able to log in, and `unban` would then apply to their nicknames, not their IP.

Can you reproduce it consistently? If so, can you make sure to rebuild Audible Instruments and report back whether that fixed it?
Can you narrow down the signals to Rings that is making it crash? Does removing Rings remove the crash?
