Cannot work with .Net Standard

Cannot restore the Nuget in .net Standard project

When I try to use this with my project I get the following message:

Warning NU1701 Package 'Xam.Plugins.Forms.ProgressRing 0.1.2' was restored using '.NETFramework,Version=v4.6.1' instead of the project target framework '.NETStandard,Version=v2.0'. This package may not be fully compatible with your project.

Is this the same issue as the one you mention? If so, did you ever find a way to fix it?

I plan to switch the control over to .netstandard.
