Perhaps no due date could default to some assumed due date, e.g. 1 year in the future (relative to the real date), so tasks due 2 years in the future...

I don't see much point. You can tell who's legit by the website verification. And you can see who's peddaling items by the pedal. There's also no clear line of...

Since metadat cannot be hidden, perhaps there could be some standard, like 'gemini://capsule.com/meta.gmi' contains information like "mastodon=info.social" (but the input would still be only gemini://capsule.com).

Will there be a difference between UK-English dates (day/month/year) and US-English dates (month/day/year)? Will we be able to access just the day or month, like LaTeX's `\day` = 23?

There is a [pull request](https://github.com/typst/typst/pull/211) open for displaying the date, although I don't know how much it can do.

@tv42 - This sounds like two separate commands. 1. Something to take the `\jobname` ('file name') 2. Date commands to read a format.
